A: Your son needs to go to a urologist; a general practice/family practice doc isn't really equipped for this.
Q: Early signs of Prostate Cancer?
I basicly want some information, in regards prostate cancer, in a 44 yr old male
In general what are the early symtoms, and what else should you look out for which might point to prostate cancer, or problems with prostate, so could symtoms be mistaken for something else
A: Not peeing could be a sign .look on NHS Direct for symptoms. And go to your Doctor.
Q: Which of the signs of yet undiagnosed prostate cancer is the most serious as indication of the disease?
A: Having any symptom at all is ominous, because prostate cancer is normally asymptomatic until it is advanced.
However, you could have a benign condition like prostatitis or BPH (enlargement) that causes urinary symptoms without cancer. Or, in some cases, men have benign conditions that cause symptoms, and also have early stage cancer that is asymptomatic.
I would (as a layperson) say that bone pain would be the most serious in terms of an indicator, if you already have some other reason to suspect prostate cancer. Prostate cancer, when it spreads, most frequently goes to the bones. (Where it is metastatic prostate cancer, not bone cancer, btw). Metastatic prostate cancer is not presently curable.
If you are having urinary symptoms, you should see a urologist, who is the specialist best qualified to diagnose and treat you. They will, as a matter of course, probably do a PSA and DRE to check for prostate cancer.
Most men in the developed world are not diagnosed by presenting with symptoms. Their prostate cancer is found much earlier, while it is still potentially curable, by the PSA blood test and DRE (a rectal exam).
Q: What is signs of Prostate Cancer?

Q: how do u noe if you have prostate cancer? what are the signs?
i was watching this show on the other day and some guy died from prostate cancer...& im just wondering how it starts =S
im just curious =P
A: There are no symptoms specific to Prostate Cancer. Mine was found during a routine blood work test for cholesterol. My doctor told me my PSA had jumped up. I asked what is that. Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Its what the prostate emits into the blood to indicate that it is having a problem. It could be anything from an infection, to in my case, cancer. Further test are needed to find out what caused it. In my case they did 12 biopsies. 1 of the 12 were positive. Once the cancer is found the tumor is rated on a Gleason Scale of 1 to 10. 1 being you’ll probably die of something else first, 10 it was nice knowing you. Mine was an 8. I wasn’t ready to go yet. I had my prostate removed. I never had any symptoms or urinary problems. If your having problems, see a doctor. Made a believer out of me. It has been year since the surgery and I have a full active life.
Q: what are signs of prostate cancer?
A: The problem with prostate cancer is there often aren't any early symptoms and the symptoms that do occur are similar to other benign conditions that affect many men who don't have prostate cancer. The key to early diagnosis is regular PSA testing and digital exams which are needed by all men older than 50. A PSA at ages 40 and 45 is not a bad idea either.

Q: signs of prostate cancer?
A: A website is WebMD. Symptoms are difficulty in starting stream of urine,,, frequent urination,, a high psa level, . You need to have the prostate checked for enlargement, a psa level done, ua. stool for occult blood. They have came a long way with this type of cancer. Good luck and get checked if you havent already.
Q: Are their any onward signs to an enlarged prostate or cancer such as a bloated stomach or something?
A: The most common sign of an enlarged prostate is having to pee frequently. If you have to get up a few times in the middle of the night then you should have it checked out. All men over 50 should have a protate exam once a year. There are two methods. one is the standard "digital exam". this one checks for enlargement and nodules that can lead to cancer. The other is a blood test called prostate specific antigen, or PSA. The lower your psa the better. If it is high then you have prostate cancer and must see a urogogist to get treatment. Prostate problems can also lead to trying to pee but not being able to. (very painful) and even impotence. I know men hate the prospect of having this test, but it is fast and lifesaving. Hope this helps.
Q: Prostate Cancer As A Teen? Serious Question.?
So like, recently, i was at school and this kid hit me in balls FOR NO REASON. Guys you know how this feels and from a scale as 1-10. 1 being how it feels riding a bike and 10 being your on the floor crying, i would give it a 4. Anyway, i didn't see any problems until i started to have a weak stream and some pain when urinating. These seem like signs of prostate cancer or are they just temporary? Is it possible to get prostate cancer or some other kind of disease/injury/etc. from getting hit in the balls? If you could answer this question i would really appreciate it.
A: You normally cannot get cancer from getting injured in your testicles. Prostate cancer is a condition that affects a different part of the male reproductive system, and does not directly relate to your testicles. A weak stream of urine could also be a sign of the injury that you have gotten. If you're concerned about why you are having a weak stream of urine, you should go to your doctor, and ask them to do a prostate marker test, or some other tests that will be able to tell you for sure whether you should be worrying about this condition. Good luck with this problem.
Q: How can I confirm prostate cancer in mississauga?
My dad has a possibilty but I want to know for sure this the freaking 21 century throw him in some sort of x ray machine or do any test and tell doctors keep on saying possibility
Honestly what the F either he cancer or he dose not what sort of signs should i look for
He is gotten bitchier
he is gotten annoying
he is gotten more repetitive
he wakes up a lot at night for the bathroom
He is 70
A: There are no signs you can look for. They are basically the same as BPH and it is not possible for the patient to distinguish between cancer and normal aging until it is very advanced.. I don’t understand the problem. It is simple to diagnose – they just do a biopsy.
